Why do we Name our Buses?
Organization & Personification!
Simply put, each bus has a unique vibe, so the names help the NLBT Team, Drivers, and Customers alike differentiate.
These are also buses we have put very much of our own time & effort into - they're not "just buses" to us.
Also, people tend to treat things better when they have a name - it is our hope that passengers will treat our buses with care & respect while on board!
Our Fleet
ARTIE - RT
Artie was our First Bus! 🚍
She is a 2006 Bluebird Vision that served as a Schoolbus for the Central School District for 12 Years! 🚸
She is equipped with 2 650W Party Speakers, LED Strip Lighting, Microphones, and Coolers. 🎉
Artie has been completely renovated by the NLBT Team & Tulk Tire & Service. 🙏
In early 2025, Artie was renovated into a Full Lounge Party Schoolbus!
She was spray painted by 2 Local Artists - Mark & Liam. 🎨
Her mural depicts Newfoundland Adventures such as Ziplining, Cave Spelunking, White Water Rafting, Horseback Riding, and more! 🚵
Fun Fact: Being a Big Bluebird Bus, "Artie" is short for "Articuno" - The Big Blue Bird Pokémon! 🐦
ARBIE - RB
Arbie was our 4th bus added to The Fleet!
He was operated by the Eastern School District then sold at auction after his 12 years of service had elapsed
His Mural features a tribute to George Street and St. John's Live Music & Night Life. Local instruments, a poster for folks to add stickers, and even a bottle of Newfoundland Screech are showcased on Arbie. Designed by UK Tattoo Artist "InkyBram" and painted by the NLBT Team!
ARTHREE - R3
Arthree was our third bus (hence its name) and first Mini Coach!
R3 is great for weddings, corporate outings, airport shuttle, and private tours!
Purchased in Edmonton and driven back to The Rock by Brandon & Eliza themselves - their first out of province bus
ARCHIE - RX
Archie was our second bus and is sadly now retired. 🚍💙
Originally a 2009 Blue Bird Vision, he served the Eastern School District for 12 years before joining the NL Bus Tours fleet.
Completely renovated by the NLBT Team and Tulk Tire & Service, Archie featured a dance floor, party lighting, premium sound system, coolers, and custom Newfoundland-themed artwork. 🎉🎨
He was also the first bus in our fleet to feature a half-lounge seating layout, which quickly became a favourite for weddings and private events. In fact, the design was so popular that it will inspire our next full-size party school bus. 💍✨
Archie helped create thousands of memories over the years and will always be an important part of the NLBT story.
